Missouri State Track And Field's Boyce Earns Tenth Coach Of The Year Honor
ST. LOUIS - The Missouri State director of track and field and cross country Ron Boyce has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year the league announced Tuesday (Feb. 28) evening. This is the tenth time Boyce has earned the distinction for the Bears, having been named indoor coach of the year six times, outdoor three times and cross country once.

Northwest Missouri Women Claim 4 Titles, Men 3 At UCM Classic
WARRENSBURG, Mo. – For the first time this season the Northwest Missouri State track and field teams were pitted against its top rivals in the MIAA at the Central Missouri Classic Friday and did not disappoint coming home with seven titles. The Bearcat women carried home four titles while the Northwest men claimed three, including two from Eli Smith. On the women’s side the Bearcats got solid results in both sprints and distance events as including a 1-2 finish in the 60-meter dash. Brianna Evans took home the title with a time of 7.79 and was followed by Samantha Fender with a time of 7.87.
Tigers Host Collegiate Challenge On Friday, All-Comers Saturday
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou track and field program will return to its home track at the Hearnes Center this weekend as it will compete in the Missouri Collegiate Challenge on Friday before hosting the annual All-Comers meet on Saturday. The Collegiate Challenge, which will feature teams from across the area, will begin at 2 p.m. inside the Hearnes Center Field House Friday while the All-Comers meet will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Hall, Mack Win USA Cross Country Titles
From USATF - ST. LOUIS – Sara Hall (Flagstaff, Ariz.) and Bobby Mack (Raleigh, N.C.) each used late charges to outrun the competition as each won their first career USA Cross Country titles Saturday at Forest Park in St. Louis. The championships consisted of six races for men’s and women’s categories, with national titles on the line for junior, masters and open divisions. The nation’s premier cross country event, the Championships featured $35,000 in prize money.

American record holder Jillian Camarena-Williams will compete in the women’s shot put while American record holder Galen Rupp goes after another AR, this time in the men’s 2 mile, in Fayetteville.

ST. LOUIS - Get ready for the 2012 USA Cross Country Championships taking place February 11 in Forest Park. In addition to watching some of the country’s top runners compete, cross country enthusiasts will have a chance to experience the course by running in either a community race, open to runners of all ages, or a high school race for runners in grades 7-12.
